Women Warriors: Indigenous Voices
Hosted by the First Nations Studies graduate students at the University of Northern British Columbia
You are invited to submit an abstract for a poster presentation at the first annual Women Warriors: Indigenous Voices conference at the University of Northern British Columbia.
Deadline for submission: February 13, 2012
Conference dates: March 11-13, 2012
Conference theme: “Women Warriors: Celebrating Indigenous Women Leaders’ Diversity and Solidarity”
Keynote Speakers: Dr, Manulani Myer, Dr. Val Napoleon, Dr. Paula Sherman
Abstract guidelines
Abstracts should be no longer than 100-150 words and include the presenter’s name, contact information, and institutional or organizational affiliation, and a brief description of the subject matter the poster will cover.
Submissions are welcomed from graduate students and from men. The final date for submission is February 13, 2012. Posters should be 42x48 inches or less and will be displayed for the duration of the conference, with a dedicated poster viewing session at lunch time on Tuesday, March 13.
Poster-making skills workshop
Friday, February 10 in room 5-122
11:30am-1pm
Hosted by SAGE and led by Karyn Sharp, this is a chance to develop your poster-making skills and learn about guidelines, printing, tips and tricks for how to make an eye-catching poster!
